About Cookies
We often hear about website cookies that track users on websites. What are they? There is nothing really mysterious about them: they are text files with small pieces of data — like a username and password — that are used to identify your computer as you use a computer network.
They are used to provide a faster and better experience to users, and even to offer information more tailored to the needs of any specific visitor. But to do so they need to collect data from users, and their use falls down under the GDPR regulation.
The Next SMOOTH Webinar
If you wish to use them, you must be aware of everything that needs to be done to be compliant. You can learn more about cookies and compliance, but also about the best ways to use them, at the next SMOOTH webinar ‘How to make use of cookies and implement successful cookie policy and banners?’ on the 5th of November at 1 p.m. CET. Come get all the key tips on how to successfully implement them on your website!
Agenda:
• FundingBox (Host) – Short introduction to the webinar, the SMOOTH project and the market pilot – 10 minutes
• KU Leuven – How to use cookies (includes extra tips for privacy and cookie policy drafting) – 20 minutes
