Why join the Smooth Pilot Programme?
SMOOTH is the first tool being explicitly targeted to small businesses, the most vulnerable EU enterprises to fail GDPR adoption.
Through the registration, your small business can become a beta tester of the platform and verify if it is compliant with the GDPR. It will take you only a few minutes, it’s really manageable and will not require any legal or data protection knowledge. Moreover, you will become part of the SMOOTH community set at Fundingbox platform.
Our team will provide you with periodic updates on the project and request your feedback and inputs.
Who was involved in the first market pilot?
Businesses from 25 European countries have participated in the first pilot.
More than a half of these companies run a digital business, while 31% run a traditional business (e.g.: retail shop, real estate agency, repair shop, restaurant, family business, etc.), and an 11% are organizations managing sensitive personal data (e.g.: pharmacists, doctors, psychologists, physiotherapists, services to LGBT community, money transfer businesses oriented to immigrants, etc.)
Which have been the results?
We managed to create a lively online community with 288 members where any new member can share feedback and resources. Becoming part of the SMOOTH online community means staying up to date about GDPR, network, and exchange information with your peers.
More than 280 applications have been started, and 88 became part of the pilots with a generally high level of satisfaction from companies.
I work on my own, do I have to hire extra help to make sure I am compliant?
For the past two years, the SMOOTH consortium has been developing a cloud-based platform that will allow micro businesses to receive a GDPR compliance report in a simple, constructive, and reliable format.
This summer and autumn take your business to the next level by becoming a tester for the beta and market pilots of the SMOOTH platform, the new cloud-based tool that helps micro businesses to become GDPR compliant.
